In Loving Memory of The Legendary Bob Roscioli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the legendary Robert "Bob" Roscioli. Mr. Roscioli has been an icon of the marine industry and is globally respected for personal attention to details and outstanding service to the yachting industry at Roscioli Yachting Center.

Bob built his business and made his mark as a pioneer in the South Florida marine industry when he started a business from nothing, using his master paint brushing skills and gained a reputation as a perfectionist. He then launched what is now a world renowned, state of the art, full service shipyard. In the late 1980's, he started Roscioli Donzi Yachts, building custom sportfishing yachts which was a passion of his.

Bob's mantra "Today's the Day" is the way he started every day at the yard. He could be seen walking the shipyard every morning, preparing for the day ahead. A true friend to first responders and veterans, Bob was an advocate of providing jobs and teaching those who have served or needed a chance. A true legacy to the marine industry.

Mr. Roscioli leaves behind Sharon, his loving wife of 51 years, his son Robert (Traci), his daughter, Heather (Brian), and three granddaughters, Grace, Hannah and Rachel. Bob will be deeply missed by his employees, innumerable colleagues in the yachting industry, many of whom he mentored, and the yacht owners who have depended on him for his loyal service.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and out of respect to the well being of Mr. Roscioli's family and visitors, services will be held at the convenience of the family the week of August 3rd.

Mr. Robert 'Bob' Roscioli

"Bob you are truly going to be missed as a Marine Industry icon, as a personal friend. You took me in and always treated me like family as you always did with your employees. I always cherished meeting with you and finding out ways to assist RYC in recruiting and training and every time we got together we pretty much solved the world's problems ... at least we thought so. You've been a friend of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and CareerSource Broward for so many years and we will miss your unique story growing up in the yachting industry. No one can tell that story as you could. You always represented the industry with class and the Roscioli name will forever be part of the yachting servicing industry in Broward County. Sharon, Robert, Heather please accept my sincere condolences."

Even when others said a magazine solely about large yachts would fail, Bob saw the future, supporting the magazine through its several incarnations to Boat International US Edition today and also our hardcover books and events. He was a champion of the South Florida marine industry, and an advocate of apprentice training. He no doubt could have sold out and retired several times but his heart was here with his workers and customers and his industry neighbors. Bob will be a tough act to follow and we will miss him."
