In Loving Memory of The Legendary Bob Roscioli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the legendary Robert "Bob" Roscioli. Mr. Roscioli has been an icon of the marine industry and is globally respected for personal attention to details and outstanding service to the yachting industry at Roscioli Yachting Center.

Bob built his business and made his mark as a pioneer in the South Florida marine industry when he started a business from nothing, using his master paint brushing skills and gained a reputation as a perfectionist. He then launched what is now a world renowned, state of the art, full service shipyard. In the late 1980's, he started Roscioli Donzi Yachts, building custom sportfishing yachts which was a passion of his.

Bob's mantra "Today's the Day" is the way he started every day at the yard. He could be seen walking the shipyard every morning, preparing for the day ahead. A true friend to first responders and veterans, Bob was an advocate of providing jobs and teaching those who have served or needed a chance. A true legacy to the marine industry.

Mr. Roscioli leaves behind Sharon, his loving wife of 51 years, his son Robert (Traci), his daughter, Heather (Brian), and three granddaughters, Grace, Hannah and Rachel. Bob will be deeply missed by his employees, innumerable colleagues in the yachting industry, many of whom he mentored, and the yacht owners who have depended on him for his loyal service.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and out of respect to the well being of Mr. Roscioli's family and visitors, services will be held at the convenience of the family the week of August 3rd.

"Mr.R your memory will live on. And I will always think about the times you would go the extra mile to take care of us whenever we would come in the yard. I have a lot of fond memories there and also traveling aboard your boats. Some of the finest sport fishing yachts afloat and I always think of you whenever I seen a Donzi SF. RIP Bob prayers to the Roscioli family."

"My condolences to the family for your loss. Bob,was gifted in the South Florida Marine Industry,I grew up in Hacienda Village Davie, Florida in the 90's on the New River or Tarpon River fishing and would pass by the boat yard on my beach cruiser and watch his empire grow and saw all these beautiful yachts, he was a man with, VISION, and very kind and Mr. Roscioli even gave me a personal tour of the boat yard and invited me to cookouts, that the boat yard provided, their employees, his encouragement to me,often, lifted my interest, in a time where I was lost, and my thinking was clouded, I regret not joining the Roscioli employee family in the 90's, with a man who saw potential in me, who barely new me, but took time to get to know me. Bob, is a legend and a entrepreneur, his legacy lives on"

"It is with great sadness that I extend condolences to Mrs. Roscioli and the entire family. Bob Roscioli was one of a kind, a true leader and mentor. Having started out painting boats to building RYC, Bob's story is worthy of a documentary. We just talked about how he needed to spend more time on this. Yet his time was dedicated to interacting with owners and crew, and being the best in his business. His legacy will always remain at the yard and in the industry. Bob Roscioli, heaven received a great man too soon and we know you will always be watching over RYC. Your name will live on. We will miss you."

He came by the boat every single morning - not to see what else he could add to the worklist, but to check on the quality of the work from the day before. He looked at every single detail on a 1.4 million dollar job. If HE didn't think it was good enough...he automatically had it redone. That was the beginning of a relationship that gave me many more stories I could tell. I hope his legacy lives on in the lives of the younger people he had contact with. Deep End

"Bless the Roscioli family. Bob helped me out numerous times as a budding service provider. "Today is the day" We all have our day. I'm grateful for the mentorship and advice that was implemented and fruitful. The kind of advice that could only come from the man of Bob's caliber. Memories remain of a greatly respected elder that allowed me to make a living working in his well kept facility while passing down knowledge on "what it takes""
