Responsible for the growth and performance of all sales activities in assigned market and specifically for the achievement of maximum profitability in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the company's customer base.
-Develops business plans and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
-Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
-Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets including for refit jobs and painting.
-Acquire and retain new customers, timely address their needs and maintain open communications with yacht owners, captains, brokers, etc.
-Creates and conducts proposal presentations.
-Manage jobs including but not limited to budgeting, writing of work orders, scheduling, timely completion, quality & cost control, billings and payments.
-Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding job performance.
-Responsible for the performance and development of staff.
-Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
-Any other duties that may be assigned by management.
-Must have a minimum of 5 years experience of shipyard / new boat construction including working with high end yachts
-Proven track record as a Project Manager
-Business development experience with ability to generate leads
-Estimating experience in all trades
-Possess strong interpersonal skills
-Communicate effectively with customers, addressing their needs timely and professionally
-Experience in service writing and customer service
-Must be detail oriented and highly organized
-Strong record keeping skills - document all customer information (Captain, Owner, Vessel), and complete and implement all work orders /description of work
-Must be computer literate
-Report to and communicate effectively in a timely manner to upper management.
-Act as the first and continued point of contact for customers. Write work orders and manage jobs.
-The individual will work closely with the billing department to ensure customers are timely and properly invoiced and payments are received.
